
What is T.R.E®?
The acronym T.R.E.® stands for Tension & Trauma Releasing exercises.
It is a very effective technique that was developed by Dr. David Berceli, Ph.D, to assist the body in releasing deep muscle tension patterns that may have been caused by stress and/or trauma.
A series of exercises target specific muscles that can help trigger a built-in shaking or vibrating mechanism that promotes dissipation of muscular tension.
When practiced in a safe and controlled environment this technique helps restore the body’s own Homeostasis.
The beauty of this technique is that, once learned, this Self-Healing technique can be practiced independently (hence it is very accessible) and it is very supportive of other therapeutic modalities that are employed in trauma treatment.
In addition, being body-based, it requires no recollection or re-experiencing of the traumatic events in the past.

With regular practice,
individuals build the capacity to connect with their bodies and feel at ease within the chaos of daily life.
